ziggy

the super raglady has a companion. meet ziggy the starman. they have been through a spin in the washing machine with jeans, and nothing fell off!
backsides
window dreaming. I will give them eyes, now
freeform collage stitching-a cut as you stitch head. the lower part turned under, the ears ragged.
a lion kitten for Leonidas, recent addition to our family.
spaced out star..made to see how colourfast old old silk sewing thread I bought cheap is. washed ok except for the golden yellow
and against the window..giving me ideas for curtains
small smaller smallest loom..about a third of my nail

Your dolls are wonderful! I especially like mister Ziggy Stardust.
And wow, what a fantastic idea for curtains with the simple basting against the light !!!

Hi Diana, welcome!

Deanna you can see the loom on the top corner of the star-it is just threads stitched and then woven into- the bottom one is twisted like sumac- the "wefts" are not caught in the fabric-just a doodle, not dignified as an experiment

Els- so you know why he is called Ziggy! yes, the running stitch is like a line..I can see birds and fish and trees on curtains.I've never had curtains in any house that I lived in, but now..who knows?

Wonderful raggies and stitched stars - they've got soul!

Thought you might like this link, even if these are minimalistic stories (it's the same book as for the sea monster):
